Standard axial fans are designed for constant operation to transfer non-toxic, non-flammable, free from friction particles medium in temperatures below 40 or 60 [°C] (depending on fan model). Furthermore, ducted fans can be produced in PT version (higher working temperature). Prior to putting into operation each fan is dynamically balanced. Deltafan fans are used in ventilation, heating, cooling and drying installations.
The diagrams of static pressure dependency on volume flow rate for all fans were developed for air temperature of t = 15 [°C]. The value of acoustic power was given with the correction characteristic of type A (human ear sensitivity). Whereas, the level of acoustic pressure was given for the distance of 1 [m] from the sound source also with the correction characteristic of type A and the assumption of spherical form of sound propagation.
Fans are directly driven by means of a shaft of an electric motor. Power data given in the catalogue is shaft power. Standard voltages are 230V and 400V, however fans can also be made with non-standard voltages on special orders. All motors are asynchronous with the isolation class F (fans can be equipped with motors of the isolation class H on individual orders) and with the protection grade IP 66, 54 and 44. Motors are produced according to the following standards: PN-IEC 34-1, IEC 34 and VDE 0530. Each motor is additionally equipped with bimetal thermal overload relay protecting against overheating.
The rotational speed of axial fans equipped with single-phase motors can be adjusted steplessly by means of optional rotational speed controllers of SPA series. Similarly, fans equipped with three-phase motors can be controlled with inverters.
Materials used to produce rotors include: die-cast polypropylene (PPG) reinforced with glass fibre (vanes) and die-cast aluminium (AL) (rotor hub). At higher environmental requirements, blades made of polyamide (PAG) reinforced with fbre glass or aluminium can be used to ensure resistance to higher temperatures and higher strengths.
Housings for ducted fans are made from high quality steel and powder-coated sheets. (Dimensions of round flanges are consistent with the standard PN-ISO 13351). Frames for wall-mounted fans are produced from HIPS plastic (dia. 250-500) and amorphous ABS plastic (dia. 560-710) resistant to light and UV radiation (RAL 9017).
